Variance Request
1- Variance request from Kip E. Decker, 102 Kelly Court, (Oak Creek Subdivision) Easley, SC Pickens County Tax #’s 5038-15-64-6136. Mr. Decker is building a garage on the right side of the house and it would encroach 2 feet of the neighbor’s property line on one corner.
Mr. Kip E. Decker was present for the meeting. Mr. Decker presented the board with a letter from his neighbor (Mr. Randy Medlin) from 201 Kelly Court stating that they were okay on him encroaching on their property line to build his garage. He also presented pictures of the space between the houses. Mr. Decker is asking for 8 ft variance on one corner and all the setbacks will meet 10 feet.
After a discussion from the board regarding the property lines and setbacks and how big the garage is going to be, the board suggested to get a survey of the property to verify the property lines and mark them so that the board can go out to this address and verify where the garage is going and what type of variance is being requested before they make a decision. The board decided that this meeting be postponed until Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 5:00 pm.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
